Pearson confirms Pearce

Pearson confirms Pearce

Saints have now confirmed that defender Ian Pearce has signed on a 30 day loan.

Pearce is Pearson's first signing and should help bolster the saints defence, after poor performances from every defender except Andrew Davies.

Pearce has a Premiership winners medal during his time as a Blackburn player.

A determined and gritty defender could be remember by saints fans for scoring against Pompey in the last minute, despite being injured, he couldn't be replaced because Fulham because they had used up all their subs.

He is in the squad to face Scunthorpe in just over 24 hours!
