'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Transfer Talk

A quick search on the Daily Echo and officials Saints website threw up a few transfer rumours over the past number of days:

Michael Poke: Has joined Torquay United on a season-long loan. The arrivial of Tom Forecast from Spurs and the already ever present Kelvin Davis and Bartosz Bialkowski would have resulted in the youngster having few first team opportunities. This will give him some vital experience, but to be honest if he does return I could see it only to collect his belongings as he moves permanently on.

Kelvin Davis: Reportedley Ipswich Town are linked with the Saints number 1. As reported in the Echo, Jim Magilton has said: 'Kelvin is on our list of keepers,' said ex-Dell midfielder Magilton. He is another who enjoyed the most successful spell of his career whilst at our football club'. I personally hope he doesnt go. I think he is a great keeper with plenty of experience and the type of player we need if Saints are to mount any type of challenge at all.

Stern John: Reportedly linked to Premiership newcomers Hull City. I dont think the rumour has much basis, but as the saying goes, there's no smoke without fire. Maybe Stern could be leaving us. Wouldnt leave us with many proven goalscorers if he does.

Have you got any thoughts on any of these rumours? Why not join Saints Vital and let us know what you think.

As there are no 'incomming' rumours, I take it Rupert has reverted to his 'sell, sell, sell' policy to save money, or on a good day, make some. Saints could be the most solvent club in League Two.

Doesnt look too good does it. A team that struggled last year hasnt really added any strength

It's worrying - Saints go from local Derbies with Pompey to one's with Bournemouth!
