Davies Changes His Stripes
I hadnt heard much news about football today but my business partner came into the shop today and announced Saints had 'sold their best player'. What?? I exclaimed. Now being a Manc he couldnt tell me who the player was so I automatically thought that Skacel's or Rasiak's loan had been made permanent. Not the case obviously.
Andrew Davies moved onto Stoke then. i'll be honest and say I'm a bit disappointed with him moving. 1) At the club for letting him go, because he was 'one of the higher earners' and 2) It seems that Davies agent wanted him to move away from St Marys.
Its a shame because at only 23 he fitted into the plans for the youth to grow at Saints and he also looked a decent player. Strong, good head on his shoulders and would have fitted well into any starting XI.
But c'est la vie. Saints again prove they are a club intent on selling.
