Wright staying at Saints

Jermaine Wright has extended his stay at St Mary's until the end of the season.

The midfielders loan from Leed United was due to end this week but he is enjoying his time at Saints and pleased to be playing under his former boss George Burley again.

Wright told saintsfc.co.uk:

'It was not working for me up there and I was not getting a game so it was good to come here and play regularly'

I think the loan has gone well. I feel I am getting better with every game as I get to know the other players'

'The gaffer is building for next season. I am delighted to be able to stay until the end of the campaign although it is still too soon to think about what might happen in the summer.'

Off where like a shot ? to another club, or to Saints if we make a decent offer? I reckon we'll sign him in the summer, like a lot of players he seems to be happy playing for GB.
