Goal Machine Signed

Saints add another youngster to their young squad with the loan signing of Tomas Pekhart from Spurs. In the words of First Team Coach Dave Hockaday 'Tomas has averaged over two goals every three games in his career so far. HE IS A GOAL MACHINE'.

Boom, now thats what we are after. 19 goals in 20 games for the youth team and reserves in his first season is a remarkable return for the Polish lad, and he is keen to come to Saints to improve his game.

News stories on the web suggest that Spurs were keen to send him out to Southampton on loan, because of the style of play and ethos surrounding the club. Now that is a compliment from one of the biggest clubs in England.

More good news on the Saints front along with two wins and another loan signing within the last 5 days.

Enjoy him until January. Terrific talent and really wanted to keep him at the club.

get behind him and give him a good experience down there, hopefully this boy will go right to the top.Just one thing he isn't Polish he's a czech lad.Good luck

I am surprised we haven't kept him as a fourth striker - currently second but I assume two more are coming - but it's right that he now be given an opportunity to play regularly. You are a good club and there is clearly a good relationship post Gareth Bale and Tommy Forecast (some of us even remember Martin Chivers!). We wish you well - look after our boy!

Speaking from experience here, and he will be looked after to the highest quality. We might even get to keep him if he does the business?

Seriously doubt you will get to keep him, he is highly thought of at Spurs. Glad he is going to get some first team football, will be looking out for his name on a Saturday. Hope he does the business for you but we want him back! Hehe

A question fo rthe saints fans, how much gametime do you think tomas will get? As a spurs fan i really hope he plays as much as possible to get him ready for the premier league next season maybe. No doubt if he can cope with the physicality of the CC he will score you goals! he scored a few in preseason on our spanish trip too btw

Just for the record, he is from the Czech Republic. Interesting to see if he can make the step up from Reserves to Coca Cola.......

Yep i remember Martin Chivers....that night up at Wolves in the early 70's...UEFA Cup..or was it the League Cup..or both?? Tomas Pekhart has improved a lot over the last season...see him over at the Orient for Spurs reserves but no way is he anywhere near premiership standard so this is a good move for him as i'm sure he will now progress further.

good luck lad

Id let Stern John go now, seeing as he's not too keen on staying

I think he will do a good job for you if given a run of games, he is still a little raw, but has a natural eye for goal. give him games and he will get you goals
