Pearce joins Saints on loan
The 19 year old, who has featured 8 times for the Royals this season, will come in to boost the back four. The teenage centre back also won his first under-21 Scottish cap this summer.
Pearce is not new to the loan set up, having had successful spells at Northampton Town, where he played 16 times for the Cobblers. Other spells at Norwich City and Bournemouth have given the teenager experience of League football.
The troubles Southampton face at the back with Captain Michael Svensson still nursing an injury and Chris Perry suffering from illness may result in Pearce making his debut against Preston this Saturday.
Pearce will not be eligible to play when Saints face Reading at the Madejski stadium on November 22nd.
