Striker Happy At Shrews

Striker Happy At Shrews

Saints striker Jamie White is enjoying his loan spell at Shrewsbury Town.

The 19 year old joined the Shrews last month, and his impressive performances have earned him another month at the League Two outfit.

White has started three times and come on twice, while scoring once for the Shropshire side in their 2-1 victory over Dagenham and Redbridge.

Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson praised the young Saint to saintsfc.co.uk: 'Jamie has done really well and we are hoping that over the next month we will see even more from him.

'He's looked a real threat for us when he has played up front and he can also play out wide which gives us a different option.

'He wants to learn and improve and is well thought of at Southampton. If he carries on like this then I'm sure that they will want him back to go into their first team.'
