Man United Sold Out

Man United Sold Out

St. Mary's will see a capacity crowd when Manchester United come to the south coast. The last tickets were sold yesterday following a surge of fans queuing and ringing for the last few thousand tickets.

The English, European and now World Champions will be visiting St. Mary's on the 4th January with Setanta Sports providing live coverage of the 3rd round F.A Cup tie.

Baring in mind of Southampton's financial troubles, this was a dream cup tie. With the stadium now being full, a lot of money will be put back into the club. If the match was to end a draw, the replay at Old Trafford would be an appealing one to Saints fans and the board - and would bring in more money for the struggling Saints.

COYR!! Nice to hear St. Mary's will be full again. Some fans in the ground will chant against the 'fair weather' fans. BUT at the end of the day...more money for the club and a full stadium. I'd love a draw and to go up to Old Trafford! Can't wait for this one!

Yeah - I'd love a draw too. It would be win win - everyone would leave St. Mary's happy. More money for the club with the replay and I'm sure the Saints fans would love to go back to Old Trafford!!

Unfortunately a draw would be a REAL downer considering our fixture congestion so I'm expecting a strong line-up.
