Davis Urges Fans To Stick Together

Davis Urges Fans To Stick Together

Saints keeper Kelvin Davis insists that the fans should stick together if the club is to get out of trouble.

Fans were caught fighting between themselves as the game was going on in last week`s 2-1 home defeat to Doncaster Rovers.

The trouble was thought to have started with fans arguing about anti-Lowe chants. This sparked protests after the game, where approximately four hundred fans stayed to chant for Lowe to step down.

Goalkeeper Kelvin Davis and player of season so far, understands the fans' frustration and can sympathise with them. However, the 32 year old has urged supporters to stay together if the Saints are to climb out of the relegation dog fight they find themselves in.

'It`s key for everyone to stick together and stay focused on what we all want to achieve because together we can do something special,' he told the Southern Daily Echo.

'The results are obviously displeasing to the fans and displeasing to ourselves, but when we pull on that shirt and when the whistle blows it`s up to us as players and professionals to get the result and keep everyone happy.'

'The fans showed their disappointment as well and we`ve got to understand that and accept that we`ve got a responsibility to ourselves, to the supporters and to the club to put in maximum effort.'
