Blades game to go ahead!

Blades game to go ahead!

Tomorrow night's match against Sheffield United has been given the go ahead by Saints ground staff.

This morning, St. Mary's was covered in a blanket of fresh snow, but the Saints ground staff believe that the weather won't hinder tomorrow night's match.

Head groundsman Andy Gray told the official site: 'We are confident at this stage that the pitch will be ready for tomorrow night's match and we will do everything we can to try and make sure the game goes ahead.

'The pitch had already been covered with ground sheets to prevent frost damage and it will be all hands to the pump tomorrow to clear the snow, which in fact helps to insulate the ground.'
