Saints' strikers up for the fight . . . literally

The Daily Echo have reported that police are investigating claims that Saints' strikers Bradley Wright-Phillips and David McGoldrick were involved in a street brawl with a fan in Southampton.

The incident allegedly took place outside a pub in Southampton in the early hours of Saturday.

A 21-year-old man has claimed he was assaulted by the highly-paid pair as he was making his way home from the town centre.

It's understood that he alleged that he was left covered in takeaway food and nursing grazes and bruises following the incident.

The fan reported the incident to the police and is set to make a further statement on Wednesday.

Hampshire police have confirmed that an investigation has been launched.

Agreed. BWP isn't doing himself any favours! It was only a few months back that he was in court for that incident in Portsmouth! Needs to get his head down and focus on his football.

cant believe these 2. they are fortunate enough to be pro footballers, and then you hear of things like this! i know its the whole 'innocent until proven guilty thing', but still, it makes me angry just hearing it. if true, i hope both of them make a public apology. neither of them are held in high regard by the fans and theyre not doing anything to help their cause!
