Schneiderlin misses out

Schneiderlin misses out

Morgan Schneiderlin will miss Saturday's game at home to Preston after picking up his fifth booking of the season.

The 20-year-old picked up two consecutive yellows against Sheffield United and at last week's 2-0 loss at Bristol City.

The Frenchman has made 20 appearances for the Saints this season, and was a dominant player in the dramatic 3-2 victory at Deepdale earlier this season.

Morgan has been in and out of the team all season and hasn't really had a consistent run for a number of reasons. I don't know if we'll feel his absence too much, and we have plenty of alternatives as replacements. Gillett, Gobern, Euell and Wotton can all do a job in the middle, and we even have Pulis who we're yet to see anything of! Don't get me wrong, I rate Schneiderlin, but I don't think we've seen the best of him thus far.

Looks like we didn't miss Schneirderlin too much as I predicted! Think he might struggle to get back into the side for the visit of Cardiff.
