Saints duo in team of the week

Saints duo in team of the week

Andrew Surman and Marek Saganowski have made it into the Football League's Championship team of the week.

Midfielder Surman and striker Saganowski were selected from all the games played over the weekend and from mid-week to feature in the divisional eleven.

The inclusion of the duo comes off the back of Saturday's impressive performance at St Mary's, where Saints ran out 3-1 winners over high-flying Preston, with both players getting themselves on the scoresheet.

It is the first time that Saints have had two of their players in the weekly side that takes the pick of the division's players.

The team is as follows:

Loach (Watford), Orr (Bristol City), Dann (Coventry City), Williamson (Watford), Spurr (Sheffield Wednesday), Routledge (QPR), Skuse (Bristol City), Gomez (Swansea City), Surman (Saints), Counago (Ipswich), Saganowski (Saints).
