Football League deny Southampton penalty appeal
The Football League have decided in today's meeting that Southampton Football Club cannot appeal the ten point penalty given to them after entering administration.
This means that the Pinnacle deal is on its last legs as they had high hopes of having the ten points erased.
However, today's meeting with the Football League saw the League deny the Saints any possibility of starting on zero.
Matthew Le Tissier fronts the Pinnacle consortium and every Saints fan has their fingers crossed for the return of the Southampton legend.
However, this news puts that deal in jeopardy and the clubs future looks dim.
Last week a second consortium led by businessman Marc Jackson revealed their interest in buying the Hampshire club and that could be the last chance for the Saints if the Pinnacle deal breaks down.
