Rasiak joins Royals

Rasiak joins Royals

Grzegorz Rasiak has left Southampton to join Championship side Reading.

The Polish international has signed a two-year contract with Reading, with an option of a year extension.

Brendan Rodgers worked with Rasiak when he joined on loan at Watford last season.

Rodgers was impressed with Rasiak's performances and got his man for an undisclosed fee.

Rodgers told Reading's official website that he is looking forward to working with Rasiak: 'Grzegorz also did fantastically for me during my time as Watford boss. You look at his record and he's a proven goalscorer and an experienced international.

'He is very, very strong and he scores goals. Both players will be very good for us.'

I think either Rasiak or Saga had to go. Now this is cleared up we can focus on climbing the table. We need a massive win today at Stockport!
