Waigo's to Saints

Waigo's to Saints

Southampton have signed Papa Waigo on a season long loan from Fiorentina.

The Senegalese international arrives from the Seria A and feels like he has a point to prove: 'I am excited to be coming to England and I'm looking forward to showing the Southampton fans what I can do.' He told the official website.

The 25-year-old has spent his whole career in Italy, starting at Verona in 2002.

The fast striker will strengthen the Saints attack, and Saints boss Alan Pardew feels Waigo can bring a lot to the side: 'We wanted another creative player and he comes highly recommended.

'He's a quick, creative forward player who will help us score more goals and I can't wait to see him in a Saints shirt.'

Another good signing! He's fast and talented, and I reckon he'll do well in L1. Hopefully this gives Saga a kick up the backside and now we have hungry strikers wanting to play for us.

I'm glad that we are strengthening the squad. Clearly it isn't good enough! Bringing in Waigo and Jaidi are two good, strong players and will definitely make us a stronger outfit.

Delighted with this signing, Waigo, Lambo, Pato and Saga should give us enough goals to get us going in the right direction. COYR
