'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Alan Pardew Eagerly Awaits The mighty Whites

This match is one that could so easily grace a higher level of football. With a full house in prospect the game is one to relish.

The Saints boss is hugely enthusiastic as he awaits the possible champions elect for this season. In front of 30,000 plus fans the two former giants go head to head with a lot at stake.

Leeds United are fighting with Norwich City to be champions. Southampton are still fighting to close the large gap above them for a play off spot.

Pardew said 'I am disappointed this game comes on the back of the Tranmere game, I really am because we were irresistable in those last two home games. It will be interesting to see whether we can reach those heights against better opposition'

He continued 'I'm just excited by this team, I just like it. Puncheon, Barnard, Lallana, Lambert, Waigo, Connolly coming back. There's goals in it, it's an exciting time.'

All in all, the impression given by the manager is not one of apprehension. Instead it is one of tremendous expectation.

Not many trust me, men don't know much unless it has something to do with ???. That is where their brains are to be found. Mind he could be right this time.

My brains are where precisely??? You don't know me so how??? If this game doesn't excite him he shouldn't be manager.
