Southampton FC - Time To Take Stock

Southampton FC - Time To Take Stock

I for one would have jumped at the chance to see the Saints win so many games at home. From where we were at this time last yerar I don't think that we have done to badly.

We have a new owner, chairman and management team. We started the season with next to no preparation. In six months we have completely rebuilt our team.

We now have a team that can beat any team in our division on our day. Now we need to make the final step up to being the best at our level. We need to gain consistency and the sooner the better.

Against Swindon we were almost helpless at times against their interplay. We had started to gain the reputation of being a hot football playing side. Last night we were at times chasing shadows.

Now we have to win at Wembley. We also need to see our team keep on improving. It would be nice to see us go on a run whereby we finish higher than we are at present. we want to see our team consolidate and then move on ready for the big push next season.

Well it came as no surprise to some that we yet again flattered to deceive. AP can raise the team for a big game. Wow. He has to be told to ship out those that don't perform. No matter who.

Pardew has to take stock. He has to sort his team out and get them playing or find more players. If he is here in the summer.

He has done well to make us a team. That though shouldn't have been hard with the money he has spent. We need to see how much more we can do with these players before the season ends and then change things around.

We played poorly against Swindon only in so far as we couldn't score. Swindon scored and played well. We kept going against a good team and played better than in some recent point losing games.
