Wayne Thomas To Miss Trip To Wembley

Wayne Thomas To Miss Trip To Wembley

Having helped the team so determinedly to get there, he now has a tear in a calf muscle and is out for a while thus missing the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.

The defender has been a regular in this competition due to cup-tied players. In helping the team, he has scored one of the goals of the season. After missing the whole of last season Wayne was coming into such good form he was almost back to his best.

Though this is sad news the news of Radhi Jaidi looks like being better. It is possible that he could be ready for Tuesday nights' game against Hartlepool.

If there is even the slightest doubt I would hope that he is left out to be ready for the final.

You have to feel sorry for Wayne. Not the best player we will ever have, far from it. But he was a player that always gave his all.

I am also sorry for Wayne. He has waited a long time with him being out for all of last season. Now this after doing so much to help us get there.
