Antonio was having his first game back for Southampton since getting injured. He played well and was one of the stars of the day.
Turning twenty on a big day like a Wembley final is one thing that he will never forget. 'To come to Wembley and score a goal, I reckon it's the best birthday in the world. Hands down, there is nothing that can touch that,' he told the Saints Player.
In a very short space of time he has come from the non league to a Wembley final. From playing at Tooting and Mitcham in front of maybe 500 odd people to playing at St Mary's in front of 32.000. Then this game in front of 73,000 plus.
He said that he nearly froze with fear when the teams first came out and the crowd roared their welcome. He soon recovered and began playing superbly in his biggest ever game. To cap it off he even scored the 4th goal which was the icing on the cake for him.
Southampton's biggest problem now is when and if we decide we want to hang on to him. With performances like he produced at Wembley his price could easily go up too much.
That is in the future and for now we would all like to say thank you and belated happy birthday wishes from all Saints fans.
