Rickie Lambert Wants More

with a total of 32 goals in all competitions this season Rickie has been having a really good season so far. 26 of the goals are in the league and he has just equalled his longest run playing for the Saints of games without a goal.

He has not scored for three games and is quietly determined to get back on the goal scoring charts. Rovers is a game that he and the team are looking forward to as they are another team placed just above us in the league.

If Saints are able to beat Rovers then they will be overtaken and the pressure will be maintained on the two main protagonists fighting for the sixth place in the league.

Huddersfield and Colchester both know that three wins will put them out of our reach. We keep winning though and both will know that if they continue to slip up they will be overtaken. That simple fact will keep up the pressure and will make them more nervy.

As Rickie has said a few times he enjoyed his time at Bristol Rovers. Because of this and the fact that he still has friends there, he will not celebrate openly if he does score.

The impossible dream is getting nearer and nearer. If this actually happens we will have performed superbly under the extra pressure.
