League One Results Help Norwich

With Huddersfield beating Millwall on Friday night Norwich were almost there. Going to Charlton they managed a hard fought win with the solitary goal. Leeds losing to Gillingham and Swindon only managing a draw means that Norwich are promoted.

One more point in their last three games will see them go up as champions.

The other three teams are more or less in the same position and have everything to play for. A single point seperating the each team. Leeds are on 80, Millwall 79 and Swindon 78. Close behind on 77 come Charlton who lost to Millwall, blowing the chance to draw level with Leeds.

Huddersfield need 2 wins from their last 3 games to clinch the final play-off position. Unless Southampton fail to win the remaining fixtures that they have. Charlton will also be looking over their shoulder until they have won another game.

At the bottom Stockport are already down. Leyton Orient and Gillingham did not gain much as both Tranmere and Wycombe both won as well, to stay on their heels. Exeter drop closer to the drop zone and Southend were the big losers as Wycombe overtook them and Tranmere stretched their lead over them.

So we now know Norwich are promoted and Stockport are going down.

Over the season you have made a good job of getting some points. You are going where we want to go and so I say well done. Dad told me to, he he. Any way well done Canaries.

Okay, well done to the green and yellows. Never had a canary that colour but did once have a pair of yellow crested green amazons. So anyway guess you won't want to be called the Yellow Crested Green Amazons so well done Canaries. If we don't make it this we will see you next year.

A win by Norwich and they deserve their place back in CCC. They didn't crumble like the rest.

We wish it had been us but you have achieved a lot this season and made it back. Well done.
