Butterfield makes Saint's move!

Butterfield makes Saint's move!

Saint's have completed the signing of experienced full-back Danny Butterfield on a free transfer following his release from Crystal Palace.

Butterfield, who will be a familiar face to Jose Fonte became a star player in recent seasons for Palace playing in the Premier League and championship for them, making 250 appearances and scoring 10 goals in the process

He also scored a hat trick against Wolves within 7 minutes playing as a makeshift striker during a crucial cup tie - though it is believed that he won't be partnering Ricky in attack any time soon.

at 30 years of age he boasts lots of experience including a playoff success with Palace in 04.

The official website has confirmed that Butterfield has already joined his team-mates in Switzerland as the Saint's prepare for a long and hopefully successful season.

For me this is great news as we now appear to have the righ back position well tied up and sorted. The plus is that he knows Jose and has experience of playing with him.
