Saints wait on Skacel

Saints wait on Skacel

Rudi Skacel was brought into Edinburgh club Heart of Midlothian and was one of George Burley's first signings for his old club.

Skacel hit the headlines in Scotland with his free scoring exploits and was soon to top the scoring charts in Scotland.

After the well publicised fall-out between controversial Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov and Burley, Skacel was at the forefront of the calls for Burley to stay.

He is reportedly interested in moving away from Hearts with a move to Saints, and a link up former boss George Burley his most likely destination according to reports in Scotland.

A report in the Daily Telegraph said that Skacel had 'all but completed a move to Southampton.'

Saints are said to be waiting to sign the player but with the impending EGM and the confusion surrounding the club at the present time it may be a while before any proposed transfer will be completed.

He'd be good talent wise, but he did appear to have a discipline problem at times and could become an easy target for big Championship defenders wanting a spat with him. Or should that be spit?lol.
