Saints v Cherries Could We Make It Four?

There is a possibility that our friendly neighbours the Cherries could be drawn against us which would make it four games against each other this season.

After waiting for so long to meet in competition I have a funny feeling that fate could be having a sly laugh as we wait to see who our opponents will be.

The choices for the draw in the Southern section West are, Bournemouth, Aldershot, Exeter, Oxford, Swindon, Torquay and Yeovil. Then it is a case of first out of the hat is at home.

Aldershot, Oxford and Torquay are Division Two sides but as we found out last season with Torquay, that will not make it easy if we draw one of them.

Swindon beat us 1-0 home and away last season and will be a tough opponent. Exeter also didn't roll over for us last season and then we have Bournemouth.

I wonder what odds the bookies will offer for us to be paired together yet again this season. As I said earlier it could be about to happen.

Funnier things have been known to happen.

Probably draw them out of a hat. Still when we win it again there will be no reason for anybody saying we had it easy.

Nope... your chairman had an interview where he branded us as 'stagnant' and this article is about the fact that we might meet you in the cup... do you really think we would do articles if they didn't relate to the Saints? talk about small club syndrome!

DJ all we need if we are paired is a draw in the FA Cup to make history. Are you saying that that is not interesting? The simple fact that we could meet yet again this season has got to be of interest.

Next one DJ will have a picture of a Cheshire Cat if you'd like it better. The story is of interest if only because of the possiblities that have arisen. Think what happens if we draw you away. Level playing field with 2 games each at home. Or would you prefer we are ignorant and treat you without the respect we show to other teams when we show one of their pictures.

I would have thought that the Cherries would be looking forward to another game with us if it came. Seems that despite their posturing they are less than happy at the thought of getting three batterings. :-)
