Saints Sign Brazilian Midfielder Guly

Saints Sign Brazilian Midfielder Guly

This signing has to be a major coup for the club as he is a highly respected attacking midfielder.

We have him on loan until January when we will have the option of purchasing 'Guly' a player that I predict will very soon become a firm fans favourite.

'Guly' has made a name for himself in Italian football with his ability on the ball and for his natural attacking flair.

Cesena gained promotion to the Serie A with Guly being a key figure who was central to their attacking play, scoring 9 goals in 34 appearances.

Being over 6 foot tall he is expected to bring a new dimension to our attacking play and it is hoped he will bring a more controlled and inventive presence to the team.

His paperwork has been ratified by the Football League and it is hoped that the Italian FA send the international clearance required for him to play in time for the Bolton game tomorrow night.

Speaking exclusively to Saints FC he explained that though being chased by other Italian clubs he was interested as soon as our name was thrown into the mix. He added that the Chairman sold the whole package to him and he hoped to be able to help us reach the top.

All in all, yet another brilliant sounding piece of work done by our chairman.
