'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Southampton Get Their Man

After a few days of tense negotiatins Nigel Adkins is now our new manager. It has taken some doing but finally us at Vital Southampton can wish a warm welcome.

Nigel has done wonders at Sc**thorpe on a limited budget and it is hoped that his experience of this division will help him get us up to Scunny's level.

Two promotions in three years shows that he knows how to climb out of this league and now he has the chance to make it 3 times in 5 years.

The match against MK Dons will now be more enjoyable knowing that the new man is at the helm. Win or lose he will be able to check out what we have and where we need to strengthen.

Though I feel sure he could ask the majority of our fans and they would say more or less the same thing.

Life looks better now we have a leader. Let us get behind him and show him our full support as he takes us on our merry way.

Thank god for that. Now we have a leader who we can get behind as we get our season up and running. I for one will be cheering him when he comes out for the Colchester game on Saturday.

Just seen the news and boy it makes me happy. Proven record and a good man as well judging by the way he maintained his composure during all of the fuss. Welcome Nigel.

Hopefully for your sakes he can sort out the apparent mess you are in. Unfortunate circumstances and self inflicted pressure took its toll it would appear.

We will recover soon and then we will climb the table towards the pinnacle. Now we have a leader we can relax a touch and concentrate on the football.

Hope it all goes well

It should do now thanks. NA is the type to install a better style of play as well which will be more enjoyable to watch.

After the MK Dons game I'm sure he'll now have clear ideas on how he can take this team forward. Onwards and upwards......
