Southampton Youngster Doble Get's Welsh Call-Up

Southampton Youngster Doble Get's Welsh Call-Up

The Saints striker has already played for the Welsh at Under 17 and Under 19 levels. He was also part of the Under 21 party that just failed to qualify for the Under 21 European Championships under Brian Flynn.

Flynn has taken on the mantle of caretaker Full Welsh Manager following the departure of John Toshack.

With both Craig Bellamy and Robert Earnshaw out injured Ryan has been called up as cover for the matches against Bulgaria and Switzerland.

If the cards fall right it is possible that Ryan could play for Wales against England. This is good news regarding the way we look after and produce good quality youngsters on a regular basis.

I know we on vital southampton wish him the best of luck as he moves inexorably towards his goals.

It is great to see another of our youngsters coming through from the academy. ryan is highly thought of and could follow in the footsteps of many other youngsters that have come through the ranks at our club.
