'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nigel Adkins v Les Parry

Both managers have started their after playing careers as physiotherapists and moved on to becoming managers.

Nigel started his career as a goalkeeper with Tranmere and he still believes he is the youngest player to have played for them in that position. Something for which he still feels an element of pride. Increased more so as it is his hometown club.

Nigel has known Les for a long time and has a lot of time for him both as a manager and as a man.

Last season he took on the Manager's job with Tranmere looking certainties for relegation. Nigel openly admits that his pal did a great job in keeping the team up and fully expects a tough game today.

He tells of the many times he has spoken with Les and how they have discussed several different scenarios with each other.

On the pitch it is possible that Richard Chaplow could be given a start against Rovers. He was brought in knowing that Morgan Schneiderlin would be going away on international duty and that he was al;so cover for our two central midfielders as they seem to like collecting yellow cards.

Nigel may like Les but he liked the three point more. We were always in control and after we had scored from open play the boys really turned it on.
