Southampton Boss Expecting Exciting Encounter

The Saints manager played Huddersfield in pre-season and will have a good idea of what we will be needing for our game.

Having beaten the Terriers with Scunny he says that the players will need to keep working very hard. He stressed the importance of this work ethic as the base for all good things to follow.

With Huddersfield pleading all week for their fans to turn up and cheer their team on, Nigel is expecting a good turn out for our game.

Talking about our fans he said that they have been immense. He added that they know that the team will give it's all and fully anticipates that the fans will be their usual vocal selves.

This game he expects to be hard and says it will be very competitive. He knows that Huddersfield have some very good players and is aware that the threats can from from several areas of the Terriers team.

Huddersfield are a very attacking team at home said Nigel and he is ready to see the Saints face long periods of intense pressure.

With Saints now going for a sixth game unbeaten, Nigel says that this fact shows that the team has improved. He still wants more progress to be made but says that the mood in the camp is all positive.

He is happy with the way the defence is improving and is looking forward to the test it will face tomorrow. I feel sure that if the team comes through this test with the unbeaten run still going strong it will herald the start of a real push for the top.

Only the players can do the job and I am convinced we the players to do the job.

If we are allowed to play our game then it will be exciting as we cheer the boys on to glory.
