'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Chaplow Likes Saints Set Up

Talking to the Saints Player he said, 'It's a good group of players that the gaffer has got here. They have been assembled since last year and I've played with them fora few games myself so I've come into a new team and I'm just enjoying it really.'

He went on to say how he has been made to feel welcome by everyone which has made the transition to our club an easy one.

Last season Richard played 38-39 games for Preston, his parent club, but hasn't shown in any this season.

He says he is happy now to have the extension to his loan as it will give him time to prove he is worthy of signing for us on a permanent basis come January.

As a player who likes to attack he feels that he complements the midfield with either him or the other central midfielder being able to go forward or cover the run of each other.

He has enjoyed the resumption of his Saints life and is very pleased with the response from the fans of our club.

'Thefans here have been second to none, they really get behind the team and I know it's been said before but they can act as a twelfth man which has been the case since I've been here.'

Having been given clearance to play in the first round of the cup it does look as though his future is no longer at Preston.

Keep going as he is and we will be looking forward to a few years with him in our team. Good news in my book.
