'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dean Hammond Disappointed By Result

He said that he felt that Saints were worthy of at least a point but that three sloppy goals undid all of the good work that the team produced.

He said that the goals conceded from set pieces should not happen as we have a big team and that allied to several missed chances cost us dear.

'We haven't taken our chances in the first half so we should have got more from the game,' he said. ' We've come away from home and wanted to get something from it, but we take the positives from the game, we're still in a decent position in the league, and there is a long way to go.'

The captain said also that the team was comfortable with the change of system and that at times it worked well for them.

He stressed that it worked well in training and we all new what the boss wanted us to do and how we were supposed to play.

Now he says that he is looking forward to the Peterborough game and that the team will be firing on all cylinders.

Peterboro are one of the favourites to go up this season and score a lot of goals so Dean knows it won't be easy.

Even though Peterborough's away form is not brilliant and Saints have started firing at home he says that there will not be any relaxing against them. We will not under estimate them he stressed and he really looks like he wants to set the record straight.

Sometimes if the players are told what to say before they speak to the media. Each n everyone of them seems to read from the same sheet.

I would have been more impressed if he had said that the players who under performed were disappointed by the way that they had played. To win games we need to fight for the right to win.
