Saints Players Told They Are Being Analysed

The boss was severely frustrated by some of the performances he saw on Saturday and made his feelings perfectly clear.

He said, "We`re looking at the players and how they react when they`re put under pressure, when they`re taken out of their comfort zone and when things are going against them.

"It`s good to actually analyse people`s character and characteristics and who`s going to go with us to the next level."

Adkins was obviously not happy with some of the things he saw during the game.

And he made it fairly clear that there were members of the squad who really have something to prove to him now.

Nigel was bitterly disappointed with the way we gave Carlisle an easy goal to stretch their lead back to three goals when we were clearly in the ascendancy.

He said that now was the time for the players to show that they can do better than that if they want to go up to the next level with us.

My reading of this is that their could well be some serious wheeling and dealing come January when the transfer window opens.

From the Carlisle game I can see three or more players who could be in danger of getting moved on.

It will be interesting to see how the players react to this and I fully expect a big improvement from the team.

This type of thing can go two ways. Either the players buck up their ideas or they react negatively and become even worse than they were on Saturday.
