Vital Southampton Says Wednesday Must Survive

Vital Southampton Says Wednesday Must Survive

There seems to be four interested parties ready to move in, but as far as we know the offers have been too low for the biggest shareholder.

This reminds me painfully of how close Southampton came with our then chairman turning down offers for the same reason.

Where we go from here is a question I hear asked several times and don't have an easy answer.

Several clubs have been in a similar mess and most have managed to come through the other side. with extreme relief to all fans involved.

Tomorrow at 11am we will know what the next move will be if not a touch earlier.

If administration has to be the way the club goes next I hope that it doesn't deter the present interested parties.

Hillsborough has been a huge part of our game and Wednesday are a club steeped with history.

It has to be saved and hopefully the mess will be sorted very quickly.

The time has come for all clubs to work together and find a way to help us avoid more and more clubs reaching this position.

True to type eh SFC. Agree though that the club has to be saved. I don't think that the bank will allow them to fold so at worst I thinki it could mean administration.

I said vitalsouthampton but hope i wasn't being presumtive. I just can't believe that any football fan would seriously wish the worst on another fan because of who they happen to support.

Don't care two hoots for Weds but spose I don't really want them to go under. Not my problem after way people spoke about us though last year when it was our turn to be in trouble. Won't lose no sleep I guess.

I don't want to see any club go under - and if it can happen to a club like Wednesday, it could happen to anyone.

That will hopefully be enough with at least one of the four interested parties doing the due diligence required by the League before anyone can buy a club.

Good luck to all at Sheffield Wednesday. No true fan would want to see any club go under.
