Jose Fonte In Team Of The Week

Jose has been a big player for us and is coming back into the form that we know him to be capable of as we head to a massive game against Brighton.

His work at the back has helped us to start a winning run of six games at home and to cap it all he scored with a towering header on Saturday to give us a two goal cushion.

The rest of this week's team is :-

Dean Brill - Oldham
Yet again Dean has played a blinder as indeed he did against us a few weeks ago.

Richard Duffy - Exeter
Helped Exeter produce a good performance away to Huddersfield.

Jose Fonte - Saints
Another supreme performance.

Ian Goodison - Tranmere
Good solid performance to help Tranmere win at Notts County.

Michael Rose - Swindon
Helped Swindon to a well deserved point with their third goal in a high scoring game.

Matt Richards - Walsall
The midfielder scored two priceless goals with superb strikes from outside the box.

Marcus Bean - Brentford
Another goalscoring midfielder who set the Bees on their way.

Johnny Jackson - Charlton
His late second helped 10 man Charlton to a win as they chase Brighton at the top.

Gary Teale - Sheffield Weds
Had a good game in midfield as Weds ran riot against MK Dons away.

Chris Wood - Brighton
Chris scored from the spot to give Brighton the lead after conceding early and was a threat all afternoon.

Neil Mellor - Sheffield Weds
Scored a good hat-trick and led Weds to a comprehensive win at Milton Keynes.

Sheffield Wednesday are the only team to have two players selected this week.

After a few below par games his last couple have seen him returning to his best. More tomorrow please Jose.

If Jose was the best in his position and he was the only Saint selected then the centre midfield players selected must havve been totally awesome because I thought Chaplow was immense against Peterborough.
