Cortese Tells Auntie Beeb

Cortese Tells Auntie Beeb

Since the death of Markus Liebherr in August, rumours have mounted that the club is up for sale. There were real feelings of fear that the family would be selling up

Nicola said clearly, 'The club is not for sale. There's always been a group behind the scenes with an agenda that's not good.'

He continued by saying that the commitment to the club is exactly the same and that nothing has changed.

'This is a deliberate attempt to damage the club at this time because we are in negotiations with players and a very important (potential sponsorship) brand.

This statement from our chairman should remind us, if it was necessary, that any news not verified by the club is no news.

I feel a lot happier now than I did before seeing this statement come to life. Thiugh I should perhaps have had a bit more faith in our chairman.

Great, now perhaps we can start looking forward to seeing who is coming into the club, and who will be leaving come January. Then we will have a better idea of how we stand.

Time for our club to be more open. None of these rumours would happen if we had a little bit more in the way of information from the Saints OS.
