Why Nigel Adkins Delays Naming Team

Declaring whether players are fit or not is now a major mind game according to our manager.

Telling other teams what they need to know is helping them more than us and though us fans would love to know who will be playing it is better now for the club if such delivering of facts are delayed.

He did admit that Frazer Richardson has trained for a couple of days. That Richard Chaplow trained yesterday and that Lee Barnard has been running around the training pitch.

He still hasn't said whether they will be ready this week or even next week for the Charlton game.

Understandable as it is I feel slightly concerned that we are worrying about the other teams when I feel we should be letting them worry more about us.

Sometimes mind games can work against you.

I think we are good enough for all of the other teams to worry about, and see no reason to be unduly concerned by when we declare who will play.

I feel we should be sending out the message that we are playing our game and that we are ready to fight for the points.

I guess it is better to say that than we are waiting to see who is playing for the other lot. Won't do to say we are worried now would it.
