Rickie Lambert Confident Of A Victory Possibility

The resurgent striker has begun to find his form after a terrible start to the season and he could be the catalyst from which Saints find a way to reach the next round of the FA Cup.

Rickie is confident that the game against Blackpool will be an entertaining one with the two teams both known for their open style of football.

Having refound his scoring boots Rickie will be hoping to continue his run of form and fancies doing so against the Tangerines.

He admits that the team was hoping for a big name to visit st Mary's and is pleased to see a premiership club visiting.

Rickie has said how he has admired the way that Ian Holloway's men have played and taken to life in the top league.

Blackpool have done much better than most people would have expected and are sitting in midtable with a couple of games in hand over most of the clubs around them.

With the possibility that Holloway will rest a player or two Rickie feels now is a good time to meet them.

Both teams will want to win with a backlog of games building up so it is unlikely either will sit back if all square nearing the end of the game.

Rickie admits that a cup run is unlikely to be at the top of either clubs agenda but also says that he knows that both teams will be doing their utmost to get the result.

He is confident that he has turned the corner in his fitness and confidence battle and feels he is returning to form at the perfect time as he hopes to help the club reach the Championship.

Blackpool had best beware because if Rickie is back on song with the players he has around him it is highly likely that he will get a chance or two to prove the point.

He sounds confident and more at ease with himself which has to be great news for us Saints fans.

This game will be good for us as we are getting on a roll and we can do it if we remain strong. Belief is the key.
