Southampton Fans Praised Again

Southampton Fans Praised Again

Nigel said on the OS 'I asked in the programme notes if the supporters could make a big noise. Second half you could see things weren't happening, and did our supporters get behind us, and try and help the team?'

'By golly they dit it was magnificent. They got behind the teamand I thought that was brilliant of them.'

I think Nigel has warmed to us and realises that if we see the team genuinely doing their best we will try and lift them.

If we can keep up the noise levels we could end up with our home becoming a real fortress. The better we become hopefully the noisier we will become as well and that will really make the atmosphere something for us all to enjoy.

It is nice when the gaffer says things like that. We did do well though on Saturday as we kept cheering on the boys.

The noise was good at times especially in the second half. The team raised their game but just couldn't find the way through. Tranmere next and they will also be difficult to beat

Sounds at times like he spouts a lot of PR at us, but then sometimes like in his interview after the game he comes across as someone who does appreciate the work done by the fans.
