Talking on Saints player Rickie explained how he refound his love for the game during his stay at the club.

He also went on to say how when visiting with Bristol Rovers he was given a warm reception by the home fans.

He said,'I went back there once with Bristol Rovers and the reception I got was top drawer - it was excellent, so if it's anything like that again then it'll be good.'

Last weekend was a hectic time for Rickie as his wife gave birth to his child a baby boy called Mason.

The birth of the child with mother and son in perfect health added to the fact that he also had his 29th birthday pleased him.

Scoring what turned to be the winning goal against Carlisle also made the weekend a little more special. Mainly because it was his 50th for the club which was a nice way to finish the weekend.

Talking about Rochdale Rickie said he wasn't surprised by the way Dale have progressed this season.

'At the time we thought they were a good team but I think they still managed to surprise us at how good they really were and they came with a plan on the day which worked perfectly, so we've got to go there and try and do the same to them.'

He added that they are on a good run and have played the game in the right way. They play football and will be dangerous.

That said, Rickie went on by saying we will be very disappointed if we don't win.

I think that goes for us all.

Rickie was saying how much he liked his time at Rochdale so what is your problem? I reckon that is him as was when at Rochdale.

Sparkle is right sinner but you know that anyway.Rickie re-ignited his love for the beautiful game at Rochdale. If he hadn't he might never have been a Saints player. Respect is free, costs nowt.
