After the call-up for Luke Shaw to the Under 16's last week it is further recognition of the fine job that Saints Academy is doing.
Jason Dodd gave his backing to young James's inclusion for the Under 17's. They will have three games in four days in preperation for the European Championship qualifiers next month.
Our 16 year old is a regular player in the Premier Academy League side that is topping the table at the moment.
John Peacock the Under 17 coach will see his young England stars play Romania on Thursday, Germany on Friday and Portugal on Sunday.
Talking on the FA's website John said, 'It's the first time we have got together as a group since October, and this tournament gives me a chance to look at some players I think I need to know a bit more about.'
He added that he has left a few behind so he could look at some new faces and that everybody will get time on the pitch.
For us it is further proof that we are honing young talent well and are becoming a regular supplier of this talent.
Good luck James and bring some good reports on performances back with you.
