Adkins Praises Fans Again

Adkins Praises Fans Again

Though there is still a fair bit of work to be done before that is sealed, the fans can sense how close it is. This feeling is why they are turning out in such force , and is one that can be heard all to clearly from the stands.

Adkins said: "It`s just a joy to be part of what`s going on at this football club. The supporters were magnificent, the players showed great character to come away from home against a team who are doing very well and it wasn`t going to be the easiest of fixtures. They play some great football and in the first half I think we totally nullified that and dominated that.'

Nigel has said that the players have responded to the fans as they have been clearly able to hear the chants and are constantly lifted by them.

The second half was more tense than the first but the fans stood firmly behind the team and will have gone home in a high spirited fashion after seeing yet another pulsating fight from the team.

It looks as though the team has added another dimension to their game which will stand them in good stead over the final few games.

We appear to have more steel and resolve which probably comes from our being so close to our target and also the superb way in which our Nigel is handling the pressure.
