David Connolly Signs For Another Season

David Connolly Signs For Another Season

Talking on the saintsfc website David said that he was pleased to be wanted by the club management and also the fans.

The Republic of Ireland international striker played a pivotal role in the closing stages of our promotion winning campaign, scoring three goals in the last five games of the season including the crucial equaliser at Brighton in April to spark a late turnaround to beat the Champions.

After an injury hit season DC made us remember just how good he can be. His signing is further proof that our club will be backing the players that got us promoted with possibly two or three additions.

Connolly has admitted that he like the rest of the team is excited by the prospect of meeting all of the teams in the Championship next season.

For me it is a good signing as the player has shown a vital knack of hitting the net when it really matters, and being more than capable of linking play which also helps the team.
