England U21's Needed Lallana

Adam got selected in the original squad but was omitted from the final squad in preference to players that have looked totally out of their depth.

Maybe because Southampton were only a League One team, Adam was overlooked but his talent and industry would have been invaluable in my opinion.

The way that both games have panned out showed to me that we are too staid in our thinking. Rose has looked completely overwhelmed by the job in hand.

The best thing has been the way that our defence has played. Even the midfield has looked very poor.

Lallana has great ball control, quick feet and knows how to pass to one of his own team-mates.

He can also cut in from both flanks to cause added problems to a defence and can score as well.

Maybe he will start to gain more recognition now we have returned to the Championship. I for one certainly hope so.

Totally true, I was watching this match thinking, if only Lallana was playing. He helps bring the ball to the strikers, with less long balls.

I agree saintsfan454. Adam has shown again and again that he is a past master at linking play and can also score.

Personally, I think they all wanted shaking up in a bag, rubbing out and starting again

I think that the way England played Adam is probably sat on a beach somewhere glad that he didn't get picked!
