'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jos Hooiveld Is A Saint

For me this could be the signing of the season as Jos has stiffened up our defence immensely.

The Dutch defender has been a regular feature of the side since joining, on loan, in the August transfer window.

Jos has scored three times for us since joining. He has quickly become a favourite of the fans, impressing both fans and management alike with his dominating all round performances.

Jos has already formed a solid partnership with Jose Fonte, and in doing so helped propel us to the top of the championship.

Hoover has signed a three and a half year contract which is great news for all who follow the Saints.

Having played in five countries at the highest level Jos has plenty of experience. He acclimatised quickly to life at St Mary's and openly stated his wish to remain if details could be sorted.

With the wealth of experience at his disposal I feel that this is another step in the right direction for the club.
