'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ward-Prowse Helps Lighten Mood

17 year old Ward-Prowse got onto the end of a cross from Fox and sent the ball flying into the Coventry goal to equalise.

The youngster is another player coming through from the academy and he has shown a huge amount of potential to earn his chance.

After his goal Saints went on to win with a goal from Aaron Martin. This was also a first goal for him.

After the game James Ward-Prowse showed his delight at helping the club to a win.

Talking about the goal James said, 'I know Adam's got a good delivery and I just got in between the two centre halves where luckily I didn't have too much time to think about it and I got a good connection on it to put it in the back of the net.'

Obviously pleased with his 70 minutes playing time, the lad was cheered loudly from the pitch when he was subbed with another youngster, Ben Reeves, replacing him.
