Jack Stevens Enjoys His Moment

Jack Stevens Enjoys His Moment

After making his debut for Saints as a late substitute against Coventry Jack is now looking forward to the next game he faces in the youth team.

He thoroughly enjoyed his few minutes on the pitch and said how manager Nigel Adkins helped him by telling him to enjoy the moment and just to concentrate on his defending.

'It was unbelievable,' he said. 'To play for the first team at any club at any level is fantastic but to do it for Southampton with the way we're playing and how we're doing in the league is just brilliant.

With the Youth Team due to play Bolton at the Reebok Stadium he is hoping to cap his week with another win.

'We've been told that they're a big, strong and well organised side and they've got a couple of good wingers and decent strikers so it will definitely be a good test for us, but I think we can cope with them,' Stephens explained.

We had a good win against Sheffield United winning 7-0 and have had three good games recently so will be going into the game full of confidence.

The youngsters have done well so far this season and another good performance will do none of them any harm.
