'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Saints U18 Coaches Delighted

Trailing rather unluckily at half-time the youngsters did well to turn it around in the second half thanks to goals from Corby Moore and Jake Sinclair.

Paul Williams said, 'The lads came in at half time disappointed with their own performances but they went out second half and did the things that we asked of them and we got the right result at the end of the day.'

The formation was altered slightly with Jake Sinclair being moved out to the right where he was able to whip some good crosses in. It was from one of his crosses that Corby scored and showed that the team can adapt to a game situation when needed.

Doddy was full of praise for Corby saying, 'Matt Young was really unlucky today he's been our captain and we had to make a tough decision to leave him out so Corby led by example this evening.

'He's got a habit of scoring goals, and coming from midfield he helps Jake Sinclair. He put a shift in tonight and fully deserves the plaudits.'

A good result by the team, and one which several of the scouts who were watching will have noted.
