Fox Hungry For Premier Return

Fox Hungry For Premier Return

Danny has played in the Premier Leagues of both Scotland and England and says he is really happy with his decision to leave Burnley last summer to come to the Saints.

Jack Cork was his room mate at Burnley and they became firm friends. When the Saints interest became known he said the club was sold to him by Jack who couldn't speak highly enough of the club, city and people.

In his article in Mondays match programme Danny says, 'It's a fantastic dressing room but the biggest bonus of all is the quality of the football. It's just a pleasure to be out there with such good players and the atmosphere for the derby match at Portsmouth was not far short of what it was when Celtic played Rangers.

'Playing at grounds like the Emirates when I was at Celtic made me realise what the Premier League was all about, and I got another taste of it with Burnley when we had our backs to the wall, so getting there with Southampton would be extra special.'

Knowing that Danny is content with his life down here shows us how close the team is. The tight cameraderie shows on the pitch at times aand that has to be good for the club.
