'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Adkins Has Options Available

He told Saints Player: 'All being well he can be involved in the weekend's game with Millwall. We are still waiting for the international clearance to come through which has to be done by midday on Friday, and we are hopeful that will be done.'

'He has integrated very well with all the players. He has a superb attitude and is very quick, his conditioning we still need to improve because he hasn't played for a few weeks, but we are hopeful we can get him to the level we need to very quickly.'

Nigel has been impressed by the intelligence so far shown by Lee and feels that he will link up well with Lambert as he has shown acute awareness in simulated training spells.

With Lambert and Fonte likely to need a game they could both play tomorrow and as others rejoin the squad of available players Nigel is going to be able to rotate the players.

Dan Seaborne is still a way of a return but he is making progress and Nigel said 'On the 30th of this month Dan (Seaborne) will be able to come back into the training ground environment so that we can get him used to training again, so we will see how quickly he progresses through that.'

I should think that Dan will be worried and excited at the prospect of finally getting a chance to begin some sort of training as he tries to recover.

I sense a growing excitement as we draw nearer to seeing our Japanese import play for the first time. Nigel certainly seems buoyed by the thought and by the fact we have players returning from injury.
